This is the OEM downpipe from a 1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo. The downpipe bolts to the turbo, routes the exhaust downwards and connects to the head pipe of the exhaust system. The oxygen sensor is mounted in the downpipe. This part is shown in the factory service manual on page EM-4 labeled "exhaust outlet."
This downpipe is not damaged, but the bolts to the head pipe broke off in the downpipe. A machine shop will be required to drill them out and re-thread the downpipe. As an alternative, you can drill them out and use bolts and nuts to connect the two. Threads for the EGR pipe connection will need to be chased, but are still intact. The starting price allows for the cost of the machine work needed.
As you can see, this pipe has normal rust for an exhaust part of its age. As far as I know Datsun used the same downpipe on all years of the 280ZX Turbo, but please check compatibility with your year and application. Inlet diameter is about 2 inches, outlet diameter of the pipe is about 2.5 inches. No returns on this item.
